But what is Punch Needle?

Punch Needle is a relief embroidery technique using a tool called a punch or perforating needle. Punch the reverse side of a canvas or fabric and, surprise, little curly stitches form on the right side. This embroidery technique can be used to make decorative objects, costume jewelry and personalized sewing projects, as well as to customize clothing, using leftover knitting, crocheting or embroidery thread. You can also work with it by cutting the loops to create a "tufting" carpet effect. Everyone can learn!
